Spring is my favorite season of the year. It isn’t too hot or too cold and I get to wear the best of both worlds π When it comes to my beauty and makeup products, the transition from winter to spring makes me change some of my beauty essentials. Since winter is more of a family season, I usually get a more natural and neutral look than my spring and summer options. The ones who follow me, have probably noticed that this current season has been pretty daring and romantic when it comes to my looks and makeup.
If you have been following me for a while, you already know that my first option for beauty and makeup products is Notino, and for those who just found out about my blog, my advice is: go check notino because they have EVERYTHING at affordable prices! I’ve been showing you through my snapchat: @priscillaeslo, IG and FB page some of the products I recently purchased at notino which are part of the reason I’m writing this post! I want to share with you my spring beauty essentials for this year so you can have an idea of the benefits they have provided me and you can try them yourselves!
Spring Beauty Essentials
Since my makeup routine is more active this season, I will start with my new makeup acquisitions π
Misha M Magic Cushion
This product is what I carry on in my cosmetic bag every single day. Instead of doing my whole makeup, I just apply this foundation to re-touch my morning makeup and that’s it! You can add a little bit of powder if you want to, but in my experience I don’t think it is necessary.
Catrice Allround
It is no secret that dark circles around the eyes run in my family, and unfortunately I got the dark circle genes! In the process of learning how to get rid of them, I found out the coloring technique before applying concealer, which consists on applying a specific color depending on your dark circles’ undertones. (See chart below)
For example: If you have blue dark circles, then you must apply an orange color before the concealer.
I found the catrice allround palette very helpful because now I can correct my dark circles and other areas of my face that have a different tone!
Lip glosses have been my thing this spring, and some of my favorites are:
Maybelline Color Sensational Cream Gloss
Rimmel Apocalips
Max Factor Max Effect Gloss Cube
Clinique Chubby Stick Shadow
This eyeshadow comes in so many different colors and it’s the perfect companion for busy days. I have it in black and lavish lilac π
L’Oreal Professionel Serie Expert Intense Repair
As I told you a couple of posts ago, I was using the Kerase hair mask and it was working great, but I feel like once my hair gets used to a certain product, I don’t feel the same results I was having at the beginning, so one advice is to change your brands constantly (especially if you have thick hair like mine). I will definitely go back to Kerase for the summer or fall term, but for now I’m sticking to the new mask I got!
Garnier Fructis Miraculous Oil
I probably showed you on my snapchat this new product I purchased a couple of weeks ago for my hair. This one really exceeded my expectations and I use it before going to bed and after I take a shower on my damp hair.
We are almost getting to the end of my list! And to close my spring beauty essentials list, I have two products that are working great on my skin.
