As lockdowns are loosened and experts are debating how to avoid a new rise in cases, the rest of us are still trying to adapt to the new normal. How is it going to be once we are back in the streets? Are we gonna keep living in a digital world till the end of the year?
βReopening is not back to normal. It is trying to find ways to allow people to get back out to do things they want to do, and business to do business,β said Dr. Marcus Plescia, chief medical officer at the Association of State and Territorial Health Officials. βWe canβt pretend the virus has gone away. The vast majority of the population is still susceptible.β
What’s the “new normal” Coronavirus ed?
Wearing masks
While some countries are still not mandating the use of face masks, most governments are making this measure a requirement. Even though masks can reduce the amount of droplets expelled from the mouth and nose, they arenβt perfect. Meaning, you still need to keep your distance (6 feet apart)
Going out to restaurants
For the first time, restaurants won’t be packed as usual. Many states have recommendations for restaurants to limit their capacity. It ranges between 20-25%, and tables will be set apart. Although most eateries will be taking certain precautions, it is important to call first and ask if their staff is following the proper safety measures.
Traveling
When is the right time to travel? Or how can we even travel with the new normal? Driving is probably the safest way to go. You’ll be using your own car or even if you rent a car, you’ll be in control of what goes on. If you are flying, make sure maintain your distance in the plane and in the boarding process. Don’t forget to wear your mask on the plane π
