By Hello earth creatures! One more time I’m back to tell you about a recent experience I just went through. I got my eyelash extensions done a few days ago and they are bomb! This is actually the second time I get them done and guess what? Process: The process is not painful at all! I’m just emphasizing on this because many people have a misconception when it comes to beauty procedures. In this case, there is no pain or discomfort at all during the process. It takes an average of 2 hours for the expert to place your lash extensions. The whole time I was laying down and listening to relaxing music the studio offers.

The first time I got my lash extensions I was able to meet Nelly, one of the founders of OCHI. She told me about her background and experience with lash extensions as well as the other services OCHI offers. She has an extensive record in the beauty industry, has completed all certifications necessary to perform this process and best of all, she is a sweetheart! I was so happy with her work, that obviously I came back and trust me, I’m getting my fills constantly.
In the past, I had some experiences with other lash extension places that do not deliver quality and are charging for a service they say is “professional” but it ends up being something I could even do from home. I talked to Nelly about this because I wanted to talk more about this experience and how important it is to pick the right place when it comes to your face, especially your eyes.

Q&A with Nelly
Question 1: Now that I have my new lashes – what’s the aftercare?
Answer 1: So the aftercare is actually pretty easy. You are not supposed to get them wet only for a few hours. You can and should wash your eyes after. Wash them at least every few days, and you can use some foaming cleanser, rinse it with water and that’s it. You can use eyeliner and eye shadows. Do not use mascara or only oily products and obviously be mindful about them. Usually people find them very easy to maintain.
Question 2: How long do they last, usually?
Answer 2: It all depends on your natural lash growth cycle, but usually it’s somewhere between 4-7 weeks.
Question 3: And what about the filling? How does that work? If you need to get them filled in again?
Answer 3: Yeah, so some people they do prefer fills. That’s when every 2-3 weeks you just come in for a fill. Or some people they just wait for 6-7 weeks and go for a new set all the time. It all depends on what you are used to.
Now I would like to talk about quality of your work. I obviously had an amazing experience, I even took a nap. You use the best equipment, you have the knowledge, you are an expert and you deliver high end results.
Question 4: But what is the difference between you and what you do, and people who are charging $20-$30 for “ Lash Extensions”?
Answer 4: You always gonna get what you pay for. And trust me, it takes a huge amount of time, money and effort to deliver a good results because it’s a skill that you need to learn, and also, as you said, the equipment. And it’s just the matter of a personal choice of everybody. I personally like to put the safety and comfort of my clients at the first place. Therefore quality is my focus. I would suggest to be careful when you choose technicians and that’s it.
